Dimitris Dimitriadis [2049] A manual for a hopeful intelligence age

The English edition · Now on Amazon

The world we knew didn’t collapse. It simply became substrate.

This book is the map for everything being built on top of it.

The revised edition of 2049 charts the radical shift of artificial intelligence between 2023 and 2026: from tool to geopolitical weapon, from chatbot to autonomous agent, from application to critical infrastructure of power.

It examines the DeepSeek shock, the contest for computational power, and the rise of the Intelligencenet: a world in which every country develops its own intelligence, trained on its own values and its own historical truths.

A manual of strategic foresight, it maps the convergence of AI, blockchain, brain-computer interfaces, biotechnology and energy around three pillars: Humanity, Infrastructure, Institutions.

In an era when 44% of every worker’s core skills will change within five years, Dimitris Dimitriadis identifies AI Literacy as the most critical skill of 2026, and shows how to navigate the new landscape not with panic, but with a mind turned toward the future.

Between 2023 and 2026, artificial intelligence stopped being an application and became infrastructure. 2049 reads the signals early: the geopolitical contest for compute, national intelligences trained on national truths, and agents that act rather than answer. Not science fiction. A field map, written before the territory settled.

Built as a strategic-foresight manual, the book moves across three pillars, Humanity, Infrastructure and Institutions, and treats AI Literacy as the defining skill of the decade. The goal is not to predict one future but to give you usage instructions for many.
